After all the hype behind this product, I decided to give it a try.
Here is what the product claims to do:
Leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing.
Activates moisturizing collagen synthesis.
Provides gentle resurfacing exfoliation.
Helps to leave skin smoother, brighter and softer.
Provides tighter skin texture and tighter pores.
Helps to provide a more youthful appearance.
Absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.
Helps to protect against free radical damage.
So I slathered it on (I only had a sample so I applied it the best that I could & as evenly as I could) and set the timer for 10 minutes. The picture below is me looking like a scary monster - my boyfriend even made the strangest face when he saw me wearing it.
Less than a minute after applying it did start to tingle. Not too intense, but definitely something you notice. Also it felt like small pebbles in it (I know that's not what they were but best I could describe). It crumbled quite easily as well so I had to use a light hand in application. Throughout the duration of the 10 minutes it got hard, firm and restricted my facial features like most masks do.
Ding! Ding! Timer was up so went to wash it off. I was hoping it was the kind that you peel off because those are so fun! The results you are wondering? Nothing like a miracle. It did exfoliate and make my skin feel really soft. While removing it, it almost hurt my face because you have to slightly "scrub" to get the hardness to soften and be removed. The pebble-like things felt like they were scraping my skin. Not something I would do on any sort of regular basis. The only thing I noticed that would make the abrasiveness worth it would be this - it did clean out my pores! I have horrible easily visible pores around my nose and on my cheek area closest to my nose. This mask miraculously cleaned them out. Amazing!
Do I recommend this product? YES! Do I recommend you use it on a daily basis? NO!
