After a year off from the whole "blogging scene", I'm back and with fresh ideas. Will have a better way to take photos and maybe even video. New look will be coming soon! I've missed this site so much!

This is just a quick little post about the excitement I had at meeting my favorite childhood author - R. L. Stine! His "Goosebumps" series inspired my love for reading and all things scary/creepy. To this day I remember gobbling up every book my mother brought home for me. I hated reading for school assignments, but put one of these in front of me and I'd sit down for hours.

Let me start off by saying I do not currently nor have I ever owned a Sigma brush. My top 2 epic beauty quests have been finding the perfect foundation and finding the perfect brushes. I am always on Pinterest trying to find inspiration and ideas for my new home. I tend to work on one room of my house at a time. This month's project is my bedroom. Currently it's very plain with not much furniture. I have been on a quest to find the perfect headboard. I originally thought I wanted a tufted fabric one, however I decided to keep with the theme of the rest of my house. This meant I needed something rustic, but light grey-white in color. I came across one on Pinterest and traced it back to it's source - an instagram page for @houseof5five. Her headboard looked so amazing that I got someone to make one for me.

I know I have been MIA lately, however I've been getting a lot done around my house! In a previous post I talked about how I am wanting to do some projects and share them with you. So I decided to put my top 3 major projects on here so you all can "ooh" and "ahh" over them like I did (hopefully). I am so very impressed with the first project and am looking forward to completing the rest!

Since moving I still had the majority of my makeup in boxes. However, I recently purchased the Ikea Micke 2 drawer desk to turn into my vanity. This meant I drug out all my boxes of makeup and sorted through them. Doing this made me rediscover some of my favorite palettes that I had totally forgotten about. I want to do another mini-series on "rediscovered classics" starting with Urban Decay.

It has taken me a while to post this review because with skin care and improvement products, you need at least a month to see if it's actually working. Well, it's been a month and 1/2 and I decided to finally post my thoughts on this brush that everyone is comparing to the Clarisonic.

It's been a while since I received an Influenster Voxbox and was super excited to receive this one! I recently got my hair cut and ran out of the shampoo I had been using so this seemed meant to be! I have been a fan of L'Oreal Paris for a while and have tried several of their other product lines. I am back with another review for my battle of the drugstore foundations! This will be hopefully lucky #3? From my previous review, I am in love with Maybelline's Fit Me Matte + Poreless. I was excited to also try this one - Maybelline's Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth.

I have normal to oily skin depending on the weather. During the summer my face tends to be more on the oily side, but not really unmanageable. Even for those oily gals, we don't want to always be matte. We want to have some luminous glow as well. I tested this out for 1 day (since it only takes that long for me to form an opinion on whether or not I will like it).

I am absolutely obsessed with anything that will make my house or a room smell awesome. I have candles, tart burners and now this - Renuzit Pearl Scents. It's a new product and I was fortunate enough to get one for review.

Battle of the drugstore foundations Round 2! This contender is Maybelline's Fit me! Matte + Poreless foundation in 128 Warm Nude/Beige Chaud. It is made for Normal to Oily skin so I knew it'd be right up my alley!

I have always been on a quest for the perfect foundation. I prefer drugstore brands because honestly normal people can't afford to spend $39 or more (I know I can't!). So this past weekend I hit up CVS and grabbed these 5 foundations.

Side note, can we discuss for a moment how expensive CVS is these days? I typically never go in there because it's like letting lose a kid in a candy store because drugstore = affordable. However, I was shocked when I saw some of the prices. Also, my local one sucks because they never have anything I see in other blog posts. [insert depressed face here] Ehem, now back to what I was saying.

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been away. Not only have I been super busy with midterms and work, but I also had a personal tragedy that took up a lot of my time. However, all is well and I am back! I am working on an awesome blogging schedule so you'll be starting to see posts on a regular schedule. I've also been working on decorating so I forsee some DIY projects and hauls coming soon!

My most recent project has been my patio. It was such an ugly eyesore! I have a gate that leads to the parking lot outside there are several stepping stones. It was so ugly! It was covered in these awful pebbles that I would slide on and there were weeds galore! So I've been working on making it pretty, of course! (pictures coming in a separate post once I'm 100% finished).
