Influenster L'Oreal Paris Voxbox

8:03 PM

It's been a while since I received an Influenster Voxbox and was super excited to receive this one! I recently got my hair cut and ran out of the shampoo I had been using so this seemed meant to be! I have been a fan of L'Oreal Paris for a while and have tried several of their other product lines. This one is geared specifically for those with straight hair or those that straighten their hair with heating products. Continue reading to learn what I thought.

The box came with (all full size):
  • Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight Straightening Shampoo
  • Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight Straight Boosting Pre-Conditioner
  • Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight Straightening Conditioner
  • Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight Straight Perfecting Balm
Like I said I've used their products before and am already a huge fan! You can find these products pretty much anywhere - Walmart, Target, Ulta, etc. The prices range from around $4 - $8. This is about average for name brand shampoos and such.

The shampoo left my hair feeling clean and healthy. You are supposed to use the pre-conditioner afterwards so I left that in for a few minutes before rinsing out. Next came the regular conditioner and afterwards my hair felt really soft. I didn't think I would notice a difference, but I did on the static and frizz situation. Normally after I blow dry my hair it can be a bit frizzy or have static to it. I noticed that was reduced when using the conditioner combo. So thus far very impressed and loving these products!

Now onto the straightening perfecting balm. I've tried other products that were very similar that you put on before you use a hot product such as a flattening iron. This is the method I use anyways on getting my hair perfectly straight and making sure nothing is sticking out anywhere. It didn't feel too sticky nor was it thick like lotion. The texture was nice and it went on my hair nice. However, I did not see any difference after using my hot tool. So to be honest, I'd pass on buying that.

Overall, if you want a quality shampoo and conditioner duo I'd totally buy these products! The pre-conditioner was an added bonus that helped soften and smoothen my hair. The balm was almost a dud. It worked just like any other product I've tried and I didn't notice a difference. 3 out of the 4 products were a total hit!
