MKGlam VoxBox from Influenster

6:27 PM

I am beyond excited that I received the #MKGlam Voxbox from Influenster. It has been a long time since I received a box (although I fell off the bandwagon as well with my activities). I had no idea what to expect whenever I was notified I would be receiving one of these, but it has total blown away any expectations I could have possibly had!

Everyone and their brother has heard of Mary Kay (or atleast everyone I know) however, I've never really been too interested in trying their products. Avon is another makeup brand that is consultant driven and I've tried their products before, but did not like them so I thought Mary K would be the same. Thus far all I have done is swatched them and I'm already impressed!

This box came with these 10 items:

Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in I Black. Price: $15
Mary Kay Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist. Price: $14
Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush. Price: $12
Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder. Price: $16
Mary Kay Gel Eyeliner with Expandable Brush Applicator in Jet Black. Price $18
Mary Kay Bronzing Powder. Price $18
Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lop Gloss in Mango Tango. Price: $14
Mary Kay Cream Eye Color/Concealer Brush. Price $10

The blush and bronzer are gorgeous and have this nice glow about it - not shimmer, not glitter but a glow. Lovely! The eyeshadow reminds me so much of several Urban Decay eye shadows and its really pigmented. The gel eyeliner seemed really creamy, although I'm not a fan of the brush that came with it. It's hard to get a thin line using it. The eyeliner and cream eye shadow both have awesome staying power! I had to really scrub my hand with my makeup remover wipe to get them off. Neither of them budged a bit when I did the smudge test by rubbing my fingers against them really hard and fast. The blush was the easiest to remove, and had the less pigmentation. For the lipgloss I have mixed feelings. I think the color is really pretty and perfect for spring, but it's really sticky. Also as you are applying it, it seems to just wipe away the previous color. I will experiment with it some more. I have not tried to translucent powder nor the mascara yet. These are just my initial thoughts after playing around with swatches. Once I have applied all of this to my face I will take a photo as well as give a more in-depth review on each one.

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
